WOAH Global Community Guidelines

 

WOAH is a lifestyle content community that covers various categories shared through photos or videos, such as beauty, fashion, gourmet, travel, interior design, fitness, and pets. WOAH provides informative content tailored to the interests and tastes of its community. Users can explore new ideas, share their real experiences, and embark on a journey toward a better life.

At WOAH, we are committed to ensuring that this community is safe and provides a comfortable space for users to creatively express themselves. We use a combination of policies, safety tools, and online resources to ensure this. Our Community Guidelines reflect our values and define standard conduct for users. These guidelines offer general advice on what is and isn't allowed on the platform and apply to everyone and everything shared on WOAH.

We regularly update our Community Guidelines to evolve with community behavior and to ensure that WOAH remains a safe space for creativity and enjoyment.

 

Violent Extremism 

We do not allow individuals to use our platform to threaten or incite violence or to promote dangerous individuals or organizations. When there is a credible threat to public safety, we address the issue by blocking such accounts and working with relevant law enforcement authorities. To effectively protect our community, we may consider available information on other platforms and offline to identify individuals and organizations involved in violence and extremism on our platform. We will close their accounts if we find the presence of such individuals or organizations on WOAH.

 

Dangerous Individuals and Organizations 

We do not allow individuals or organizations on our platform to promote or engage in violence. We remove such individuals and organizations, including mass murderers, serial killers, rapists, hate groups, criminal organizations, terrorist organizations, and other non-state armed groups targeting civilians.

 

Terrorist Organizations 

Terrorists and terrorist organizations are non-state actors who threaten violence, use violence, and/or commit serious crimes (such as crimes against humanity) against civilian populations to advance political, religious, ethnic, or ideological objectives.

 

Organized Hate 

Organized hate refers to individuals and organizations that attack others based on protected characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or immigration status. We consider attacks to include actions that incite violence or hatred, persecute individuals or groups, or promote hate ideologies.

Criminal Organizations 

Criminal organizations are transnational, national, or local groups involved in serious crimes, including violent crimes (e.g., murder, rape, robbery, assault), trafficking (e.g., human, organ, drug, weapons), kidnapping, financial crimes (e.g., extortion, fraud, money laundering), or cybercrimes.

Do not post:

- Content that praises, promotes, glorifies, or supports dangerous individuals and/or organizations.

- Content that encourages participation in or seeks to recruit individuals to join dangerous organizations.

- Content featuring names, symbols, logos, flags, slogans, uniforms, gestures, salutes, illustrations, portraits, songs, music, lyrics, or other objects intended to represent dangerous individuals and/or organizations.

 

Threats and Incitement to Violence 

We consider incitement to violence as supporting, directing, or encouraging others to commit violence. We do not allow threats of violence or incitement to violence on our platform that could result in serious physical harm.

Do not post:

- Statements of intent to cause physical harm to individuals or groups.

- Statements or depictions that encourage others to engage in or support physical violence.

- Conditional or aspirational statements encouraging others to commit violence.

- Calls to bring weapons to locations with the intent to intimidate or threaten individuals or groups through violence.

- Instructions on how to make or use weapons with the intent to incite violence.

 

Illegal Activities and Regulated Goods 

We prohibit the trade, sale, promotion, and use of certain regulated goods, as well as depictions, promotion, or facilitation of criminal activities, including human exploitation. Content may be removed if it relates to activities or goods that are regulated or illegal in most regions or globally, even if the activity or goods are legal in the broadcasting jurisdiction.

 

Criminal Activities 

Criminal activities encompass a broad spectrum of actions that can be punishable by law, including theft, assault, human exploitation, forgery, and other harmful behaviors. To prevent such behavior from becoming normalized, imitated, or facilitated, we remove content that promotes or enables criminal activities.

 

Do not post:

- Content that depicts or encourages acts of physical harm, such as assault or kidnapping.

- Content that endangers the safety of others, including battery.

- Content that depicts or encourages human exploitation, including human trafficking, bonded labor, domestic servitude, sex trafficking, or prostitution.

- Content that depicts or encourages illegal poaching or the illegal trade of wildlife.

- Content offering to buy, sell, trade, or request illegally obtained or counterfeit goods.

- Content providing instructions on how to conduct criminal activities.

 

Weapons 

We do not allow depictions, promotion, or trade of firearms, ammunition, firearm accessories, or explosive weapons. We also prohibit instructions on how to manufacture such weapons. Content that is part of a museum collection, carried by law enforcement officers, in a military parade, or used in a safe, controlled environment such as a shooting range may be allowed.

Do not post:

- Content that displays firearms, firearm accessories, ammunition, or explosive weapons.

- Content offering to buy, sell, trade, or request firearms, accessories, ammunition, explosive weapons, or instructions on how to make them.

 

Drugs, Controlled Substances, Alcohol, and Tobacco 

We do not allow the depiction, promotion, or trade of drugs or other controlled substances. The trade of tobacco and alcohol products is also prohibited on the platform.

Do not post:

- Content that depicts or encourages drug use, drug consumption, or encourages others to create, use, or trade drugs or other controlled substances.

- Content offering to buy, sell, trade, or request drugs, other controlled substances, alcohol, or tobacco products (including vaping products).

- Content that provides information on how to purchase illegal or controlled substances.

- Content that depicts or encourages the production of illegal alcohol products.

- Content that depicts or encourages the abuse of legally obtained substances or instructions on how to make homemade substances in an effort to become intoxicated.

 

Fraud and Deception 

We do not allow individuals to exploit our platform to take advantage of users' trust and cause financial or personal harm. We remove content that deceives others to gain financial or personal benefits illegally, including schemes to defraud individuals or steal assets.

 

Do not post:

- Content that depicts or encourages phishing.

- Content that depicts or promotes Ponzi schemes, multi-level marketing, or pyramid schemes.

- Content that depicts or promotes investment schemes with promises of high returns, fixed bets, or any other types of fraud.

 

Gambling 

We do not allow content that promotes gambling services or that may be considered advertisements for casinos, sports betting, or any other commercial gambling activities.

Do not post:

- Content that promotes casinos, sports betting, poker, lotteries, gambling-related software and apps, or other gambling services.

 

Privacy, Personal Data, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) 

We do not allow content that violates the confidentiality of personal data or personally identifiable information (e.g., social security information). We remove content that depicts personal data or personally identifiable information (PII) from the platform.

Do not post:

- Content containing personal data or personally identifiable information (PII).

 

Graphic and Violent Content 

We do not allow content that is excessively graphic or shocking, especially content that encourages or glorifies extreme violence or suffering. We allow exceptions for certain circumstances, such as content that is newsworthy or raises awareness about social issues. When we identify credible risks of violence or threats to public safety, we block accounts and work with relevant law enforcement authorities if necessary and appropriate.

Do not post:

  - Human content that depicts:

  - Graphic or violent deaths or accidents.

  - Human corpses that are mutilated, burned, or dismembered.

  - Bleeding where open wounds or injuries are the primary focus.

  - Real-world physical violence, fighting, or torture.

- Animal content that depicts:

  - Unnatural slaughter or death of animals.

  - Mutilated, burned, or dismembered animal corpses.

  - Animal cruelty and bloodshed.

 

Suicide, Self-Harm, and Dangerous Acts 

We do not allow content that depicts, promotes, normalizes, or glorifies activities that may lead to suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. We also do not allow users to share content that shows them participating in or encouraging others to engage in dangerous activities that could lead to serious or fatal injuries. We encourage individuals struggling with self-harm or suicidal thoughts, or who know someone considering suicide, to contact local emergency services immediately.

 

Suicide 

We do not allow content that depicts suicide, suicidal thoughts, or content that may encourage participation in other self-harm behaviors. We also do not allow content that depicts attempted suicide or content showing someone engaging in or intending to engage in behaviors that could lead to intentional self-inflicted death. We restrict any form of content that encourages, normalizes, or glorifies acts of suicide, provides instructions on how to commit suicide, or portrays suicide as a brave or honorable action.

Do not post:

- Content that depicts, encourages, normalizes, or glorifies acts of suicide.

- Content that provides instructions for committing suicide.

- Suicide games, challenges, pacts, or hoaxes.

 

Self-Harm and Eating Disorders 

We do not allow content that normalizes, encourages, or triggers self-harm behaviors, regardless of the user's intent to post it. We remove content that may promote or normalize actions that could lead to deliberate self-harm. Content promoting eating habits that could lead to poor health outcomes is also not allowed on the platform.

Do not post:

-Content that depicts, encourages, normalizes, or glorifies self-harm or eating disorders.

-Content providing instructions on how to engage in self-harm or eating disorders.

-Self-harm or eating disorder games, challenges, pacts, or hoaxes.

-Content that depicts, encourages, normalizes, or glorifies eating disorders or dangerous weight loss behaviors related to eating disorders.

 

Dangerous Stunts

Risky activities or other dangerous behaviors are actions performed in non-professional contexts or without the required skills and safety precautions, which could result in serious or fatal injuries to the user or the public. We do not allow content that depicts, encourages, normalizes, or glorifies such behaviors, including amateur stunts or dangerous challenges.

Do not post:

-Content that shows the use of dangerous tools, vehicles, or objects in potentially unsafe conditions.

-Content that depicts or encourages the consumption of substances not intended for ingestion or that could cause serious harm.

-Dangerous games, challenges, or stunts that could result in injury.

 

Hate Speech

We do not tolerate content that attacks individuals or groups based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, serious illness, disability, or immigration status. We remove content that incites hateful behavior, including speech that dehumanizes or excludes protected groups. We also consider hateful content that could lead to real-world communal violence. We suspend or ban accounts found to have repeatedly violated hateful conduct rules.

 

Attacks Based on Protected Characteristics

We define hate speech or hateful behavior as content that attacks, threatens, incites violence against, or otherwise degrades an individual or group based on the following protected characteristics:

·       Ethnicity

·       National origin

·       Religion

·       Caste

·       Sexual orientation

·       Gender

·       Gender identity

·       Serious illness

·       Disability

·       Immigration Status

 

Do not post:

- Hateful content related to an individual or group, including: 

  - Claiming that they are inferior in physical, mental, or moral status. 

  - Calls for or justifications of violence against them. 

  - Claiming that they are criminals. 

  - Referring to them as animals, inanimate objects, or other non-human entities. 

  - Encouraging or justifying exclusion, segregation, or discrimination against them. 

  - Content that depicts actions harmful to an individual or group based on protected attributes.

 

Slurs 

A slur is defined as a derogatory term intended to insult a particular ethnic group, race, or any other protected attributes listed above. Slurs are not tolerated on our platform as we do not wish to contribute to the spread of offensive terms. However, we recognize that slurs can sometimes be used as self-references or reappropriated. We may allow exceptions when slurs are used in songs or other instances where they are self-referential and/or reappropriated.

Do not post: 

- Content that uses or includes slurs to insult an individual or group based on any of their protected attributes.

 

Hate Ideology 

Hate ideology refers to ideologies that show clear hostility toward others due to their protected attributes. Hate ideologies are incompatible with the inclusive and supportive community we foster on our platform, and we remove any content that promotes them.

Do not post: 

- Content that praises, promotes, glorifies, or supports any hate ideology. 

- Content that includes names, symbols, logos, flags, slogans, uniforms, gestures, salutes, illustrations, portraits, songs, music, lyrics, or other objects related to hate ideologies. 

- Content that denies well-documented violent events that have affected groups with protected attributes. 

- Claims of supremacy over a group of people based on protected attributes. 

- Conspiracy theories used to justify hate ideologies.

 

Harassment and Bullying 

Users should feel safe expressing themselves without fear of being shamed, humiliated, bullied, or harassed. We are highly aware of the psychological pressure that can result from abusive content directed at individuals, and we do not tolerate abusive behavior or content on our platform.

 

Abusive Behavior 

We remove all forms of abusive expressions, including threats or derogatory statements aimed at mocking, humiliating, embarrassing, intimidating, or harming someone. To allow for expression on matters of public interest, critical comments about public figures may be allowed. However, severe abusive behavior toward public figures is prohibited.

Do not post: 

- Content that insults others or mocks someone based on attributes such as intelligence, appearance, personality traits, or hygiene. 

- Content that encourages organized harassment. 

- Content that mocks victims of violent tragedies. 

- Content that depicts deliberate actions intended to harm or intimidate, such as cyberbullying or online incitement. 

- Content that expresses a desire to cause death, serious illness, or other serious harm to an individual or public figure.

 

Sexual Harassment 

Sexual harassment involves unwanted or inappropriate sexual behavior directed at another individual. We do not allow content, including comments or invitations, that sexually harasses others, regardless of the user’s intent, as such actions can cause significant distress to the targeted individual.

Do not post: 

- Content that seeks to solicit unwanted sexual relationships. 

- Content that provokes sexual activity with other users, whether verbally, in text (including emojis), or through any in-app feature. 

- Content that mocks the sexual activity of others. 

- Content that alters or modifies someone else's image to depict or imply sexual invitations or involvement in sexual activity. 

- Content that reveals or threatens to reveal someone’s private sexual life, including threats to disclose digital content, sexual history, or the names of former sexual partners. 

- Content that reveals or threatens to reveal someone’s sexual orientation without their consent or knowledge.

 

Hacking, 'Doxxing,' and Extortion 

We define 'doxxing' as the act of collecting and publishing personal data or personally identifiable information (PII) with malicious intent. Threatening to hack or engage in doxxing with the intent to harm or extort others can cause severe emotional distress and offline harm. We view this online behavior as a form of abuse and do not permit it on our platform.

Do not post: 

- Content that threatens to reveal personal data or PII, including home addresses, personal email addresses, personal phone numbers, bank statements, social security numbers, or passport numbers. 

- Threats of extortion or hacking of someone else's account. 

- Content that incites or encourages others to hack or reveal someone’s account, personal data, or PII. 

- Personal accounts, personal data, or PII to be used by others for abuse, trolling, or harassment.

 

Nudity and Adult Sexual Activity 

We do not allow sexually explicit or gratifying content on our platform, including animated content of this nature. Depictions of nudity or sexual activity are sensitive to some members of our community, and sexually explicit content can be highly offensive. We allow exceptions for sexually explicit or pornographic content for educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purposes.

 

Sexual Exploitation 

Sexual exploitation is the act of exploiting someone else’s sexuality without consent for sexual gratification, financial gain, personal benefit, or other unlawful purposes.

Do not post: 

- Content that depicts or promotes non-consensual sexual acts, including rape, assault, or advocating sexual violence. 

- Content that depicts or promotes sexual solicitation, including soliciting sex or sexual partners, sex chats or conversations, pornography, or explicit sexual imagery.

 

Nudity and Sexual Activity Involving Adults 

Nudity and sexual activity include content that clearly exposes breasts, genitals, anus, or buttocks, or behavior that mimics, implies, or exhibits sexual acts. We do not allow depictions of nudity or sexual activity, including digitally created or manipulated content. We are mindful of content that may offend or be culturally inappropriate in certain regions or may be inappropriate for users of all ages.

Do not post: 

- Content that explicitly or implicitly depicts sexual activity, including penetrative and non-penetrative sex, oral sex, or erotic kissing. 

- Content that depicts sexual stimulation or sexual arousal. 

- Content that depicts sexual fetishes. 

- Content that depicts exposed human genitals, female nipples, or areolas, pubic regions, or buttocks. 

- Content that includes explicit sexual language for the purpose of sexual gratification.

 

Child Safety 

We are deeply committed to protecting the safety of minors on our platform. We do not tolerate any activities that perpetuate abuse, harm, danger, or exploitation of minors on WOAH. Any content, including digitally created or manipulated media, that depicts abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of minors is a violation of our platform and will be removed when identified. We will report and forward such content to relevant law enforcement authorities to prevent ongoing or potential exploitation or abuse of minors.

Users must meet the minimum age requirement to use WOAH (as outlined in our Terms of Service). We will remove their accounts from our platform when underage account holders are identified.
